Just yesterday, the Calgary Zoo lost 34 stingray’s due to currently unknown causes.

This year’s WordFest is bringing in the revered William Gibson. Here are the details:

As part of this year’s Art City, there will be a screening of Matthew Barney‘s Drawing Restraint 9 on Wednesday, September 12th at 7 pm at the Eau Claire Market Cineplex Odeon. Barney wrote, directed, and acted in DR9, which also stars Björk, who wrote the film’s soundtrack.

I’ve been meaning to see this film for the last year, so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a poster for a DR9 screening the other day.
